Basic Info
Name:Lisa Ann Turpin
Birthdate:04-05
Website:Fiery Inception
Bio
Disclaimer: This is a roleplaying journal designed for Fiery Inception Roleplaying Game on Livejournal. I am by no means Lisa Turpin, although I do stake claim to this version of her character. The original Lisa Turpin belongs strictly to JK Rowling, as well as the Harry Potter universe.

The Basics

Character Name: Lisa Ann Turpin
PB: Natalie Portman

Age: 20
Birthday: April 5th, 1980
Wand: 9 inch White Ash, Unicorn Hair
House in School: Ravenclaw
Bloodline: Pureblood

Political View: Lisa has an almost neutral view when it comes to politics. She takes in every bit of information that she has the chance to get a hold of, and when the time comes, she will align herself to the side that seems most logical and most suitable for herself.
Appearance

Height: Lisa stands roughly at five feet and three inches, about the average height for a female of her age.
Weight: approximately 130 lbs.
Eyes: Dark brown eyes, often appearing downcast
Hair: Dark brown hair that curls down to her shoulders. Quite frequently she pulls it up into a ponytail to get it out of her face, especially because of her work.

Build: Being neither thin nor short, Lisa’s build is considered rather average. She stands at a normal height for a female of her age, and her weight falls within the normal range.

Dress Style: Lisa tends not to worry too much over what she chooses to wear outside of work, but she does like to appear professional while attending work. She owns a fair amount of tailored dress robes for the workplace. Most of these happen to be a neutral color. Very few of her robes are colors found in Hogwarts houses. She’s very much aware that there are house conflicts and, as a Healer, she desires to make her patients as comfortable as possible. Typically she’ll find herself wearing purple or silver robes.

Basic Physical Description:

Defining Marks: Lisa has no special or defining marks on her body. Her dark curly hair isn’t too unusual, especially considering her background and heritage. She tends to be more pale than not, for she will easily spend most of her days inside and curled up with a book.
Personality

Lisa comes across as the stereotypical Ravenclaw from Hogwarts. She thrives on knowledge. It doesn’t matter to Lisa where knowledge comes from, as long as she has the chance to receive it. She loves to learn new things and will not hesitate to accept information that other people have to offer her. Throughout her school years, Lisa quite frequently would be seen in the libraries, pondering over a thick volume of some sort. She had a liking for Potions, however, her interest in learning all things kept her from excelling in just one subject area.

She also comes across as fairly naïve. Raised by two parents who only wanted the best for their child and who were also rather protective of her throughout the war, Lisa surprisingly has a very open mind when it comes to meeting new people or learning new things. She would most likely readily accept anything so as long as it seemed logical, or she would trust anyone so as long as they did not seem like a threat to her personally. This could be quite a dangerous thing, as Lisa has the potential to be easily manipulated. If she saw logical argument pointing toward one thing, even though it might be against most of her principles, chances are that she would follow through with it. This caused her trouble occasionally throughout her school years at Hogwarts. Should a fellow classmate convince Lisa that staying in the library throughout the night was something that she should do, she wouldn’t hesitate to follow through with it. Should a fellow classmate inform Lisa that going into the Restricted Section was a good idea because it would give her access to important and forbidden knowledge, Lisa wouldn’t hesitate to do this as well. This behavior was what kept her from receiving the prefect’s title in her fifth year of schooling.

On occasion, Lisa can have a very quick wit. She will enjoy verbally sparring with people, especially those who can keep up with a logical mind. Sometimes, however, this quick wit can be a pitfall. Occasionally her mind will jump to conclusions that make logical sense to her, but make little sense to the rest of the world. She finds herself having to explain such things to people, which annoys her to a certain degree. Lisa would much rather hold conversations with someone who she would not have to constantly explain why she said something. To her, it just slows down the conversation itself, thus decreasing her volume of interest in the matter and the person in general.

Lisa tries to be as positive as she can with regards to the future, as she feels that looking negatively on something will only set one up for failure. She typically will listen to whatever someone has to say before judging it, although with her as naïve as she is, people can easily convince her that they have a logical approach to ideas or possibilities. She tries not to make enemies with anyone she comes across, although she judges people more by their personalities than anything else. It doesn’t matter if someone was formerly a Gryffindor or a Slytherin, or if they are a Death Eater or in the Order to Lisa. If they treat her politely, with respect, she’ll likely listen to their point of view over someone who treats her rudely and acts as though her opinion is insignificant.

Psychology

Extrovert/Introvert: Lisa, usually, is very much an introvert. She values knowledge above most things and is aware of the fact that knowledge is power. She’ll keep information, even about her own emotions, quiet unless she knows that she can fully trust someone. Once she fully trusts and knows a person, however, she could almost be considered an extrovert. She’d probably chatter away with someone constantly about whatever subject has caught her attention this time.

Boggart Would Be: The Grim Reaper. As a hopeful Healer, Lisa values life above everything else. She will fight for life until the end of her own. She’ll readily do whatever is necessary to keep those who need her aid alive, no matter what station in life that person happens to own. Death is also something very unknown to Lisa, and she tends to fear the unknown more than anything else. Death is the one thing that produces extreme fear in this Ravenclaw.

Patronus Would Be: The Helping Hand. Lisa has always been more than willing to come to the aid of those who might need her assistance, especially those in need of medical assistance.</b>

Sexuality

Lisa has never given much thought to her sexuality, so she would naturally say that she is heterosexual. She would probably be more asexual, preferring someone with an intelligent mind over whatever sex that person happened to be.

Lifestyle

Occupation: As is her life’s dream, Lisa is currently working as an assistant Healer at St. Mungo’s. She fully plans to continue to pursue her career for as long as physically possible.

Residence: Currently, Lisa lives in a small flat downtown London. It’s not terribly far from Diagon Alley and St. Mungo’s. She lives alone, although she wouldn’t mind sharing her current residence with someone else.

Financial Status: Because she maintains a steady, fairly well-paying job, Lisa’s by no means in trouble financially. She’s always been very careful with her money and thus she’s managed to save up quite a bit of it, though she should not be considered to be rich.
Family

Parents: >Mother:Kimberlee Ann Angel (Scottish)
Father:William Turpin (French, German)

Siblings: none
Lisa’s parents always treasured her existence from the day she was born. Her parents remained neutral in the war. Her mother works as a Muggle librarian, while her father is a fairly well-known philosopher and writer. Both parents are pureblood wizards, however, so naturally they were thrilled when they discovered Lisa’s magical abilities. Both parents pushed Lisa to learn all that she could in life, as they both valued knowledge, truth and life as equally important things.

There was little pressure in Lisa’s life to marry, as after all, her mother did work with Muggles directly. Her family’s need to stay with the pureblood trends wasn’t nearly as strong as some of Lisa’s classmates. Not to mention, most of the pressure in Lisa’s life was toward her grades and her own education. Her mother was indifferent about the war itself, and if she were ever to choose a side, she clearly would have selected the side of the Order and Harry Potter. Her father saw the logic in what the purebloods were fighting for, though he never chose one side or the other specifically.

History from student days at Hogwarts to the present time

Lisa was born on April 5th, 1980 as the only daughter to Kimberlee Ann Angel and William Turpin. She grew up in a fairly sophisticated and well-mannered household. Her mother worked for a Muggle library, located downtown London, while her father made a living selling books on philosophy. As she grew up in a proper wizarding home, Lisa was raised to believe that she would one day attend a magical school. Her parents also taught her that her education was the most important thing in her life. It was something that she could use at all times, regardless of what her social status was. Without a proper education, her father preached, she would get nowhere in life. Her parents always emphasized her doing well in school, however, with Lisa’s interest in many subjects, there wasn’t a particular thing that she excelled in.

Needless to say, her parents were thrilled when she received her Hogwarts letter on the eve of her eleventh birthday. Pleased that she could fulfill her dream of getting such an education, Lisa welcomed the invitation to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. During her first year, she found it to be rather uneventful. The biggest news around campus, it seemed, was that Harry Potter had come to Hogwarts. He had been sorted into Gryffindor house, although, from what she had learned from her parents and her books, she wasn’t at all surprised. A boy who had stood up to such a powerful wizard as He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named would naturally be brave and powerful himself. She quickly had a liking for the more difficult subjects throughout her first year, such as Transfiguration or Potions.

Her second year passed mostly without incident. Lisa proudly represented Ravenclaw House throughout her Hogwarts years. Upon entering third year, Lisa wisely chose the alternate classes that she had the option of selecting now. She had heard much of Ancient Runes from the older students, and so, rather than taking Divination like many of her fellow classmates, she started down the more difficult path at Hogwarts. During fourth year, Lisa attended the Tri-Wizard Tournament, although it didn’t strike her interest much. She had already begun to study for her fifth year O.W.L.s. Her parents had preached to her the importance of achieving Outstanding in every subject area. By this time in her Hogwarts career, Lisa had already selected what she wanted to do with the rest of her life. She had a keen interest in the Healing arts. Between the summer of her fourth and fifth year, Lisa had owled Madame Pomfrey and requested a chance to work along side of her at the Hospital Wing during her free periods. Pleased when she was granted the opportunity, Lisa knew for certain that she wanted to become a Healer by the end of her fifth year. She had a gift for it, a natural talent.

At the end of her fifth year, Lisa was thrilled to discover that she had received high marks in just about everything. She received an O in Potions, an E in Transfiguration, an A in Herbology, an E in Defense Against the Dark Arts, an E in Arithmancy, and an A in Ancient Runes. Lisa had also earned an O in Astrology, although that wasn’t required for the field of Healing. She could now further in the studies that she needed, and wanted, in order to accomplish becoming a Healer.

As the war waged outside of Hogwarts, Lisa continued to pursue her studies in hopes to, one day, become a Healer. Upon graduating from Hogwarts in 1998, Lisa began an internship at St. Mungo’s. It is here that she works now, serving those who need her assistance above everything else. She struggled to stay out of the main conflicts of the war, focusing mostly on improving her own status as an assistant Healer. She still had quite a bit of time left before she earned the full title, naturally, but Lisa considered herself well on her way. She wasn’t about to mix herself up in the real world events and risk everything backfiring on her just yet. Upon Voldemort’s defeat finally, Lisa felt both grateful, yet at the same time, she almost wished that his death hadn’t come about so quickly. With Voldemort dead, her workload would ultimately start to decrease. Voldemort had been one of the reasons that she’d risen so quickly through some of the ranks to become a full-fledged Healer.

Most recently, Lisa works at St. Mungo’s as a fairly high-ranked assistant Healer. In current events, Lisa also attended the Hogwarts Ground Greening event that just occurred at her former school. She’s still in contact with a few of her fellow Ravenclaws, and would probably get along fairly well with some of the former Slytherins. Most probably she would still be in contact with Neville Longbottom, who also works at St. Mungo’s.
